Wild Irish runs under it's banner Irish language retreats that facilitate nature connection through the Irish language but also includes native skills based retreats, such as Deer Tanning and Dry Stone Walling. With yoga teacher Michael Ryan, Diarmuid also runs Nature of Man, an organisation that creates a healing space for men. He also runs overnight camps for sports teams and corporate groups that facilitates a greater connection to self, team and place. He lives in South Kilkenny, with his partner Siobhán and three kids, Uisne, Ériú and Tuireann. He teaches Irish in Kilkenny Steiner School outside of Callan.
Wild Hurling is a condensed version of our native game that makes it accessible to everyone regardless of experience. It is, by design, an antidote to the win at all costs philosophy that serves to alienate many people that have an instinctive love for the game. It is a call to play, for adults of all ages to return to a play state, where courage meets creative physical endeavour and where the spirit of hurling shines through, with the community taking precedence over the individual.
