Huartan

Winners of inaugural Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí Award of Best Emerging Artist (Gradaim Nós) Huartan are a Tradtronica band, established in 2023, and consist of three Irish-Trad musicians, Catriona Ní Ghribín, Múlú and the bands producer, Stíofán Loughran. Their shared vision is to reconnect modern audiences with the ancient songs and native language of our ancestors with a brand new audio-visual experience.

The Huartan live act is sensual and otherworldly, featuring costumes and high-energy dancers, Anan Poloni and Mícheál Ó Coigligh, who embody the presence of síogaí (fairies/shapeshifters). In a playful re-imagining and performative reclamation of pagan Ireland.
