Sionnáin - Ancestral Sound Journey

Sionnáin

Sionnáin is a singer songwriter & musician from the West of Ireland, her path has guided her into gathering both traditional and channelled songs from the landscape of

Éire.

She lives and breathes the sounds of the land, offering them up as prayers, woven with raw edges, soundscapes and the great depths of the ancient places that shape her journey.

Weaving traditional songs as well as her own as Gaeilge agus Bearla, her enchanting voice is a portal into the land of the Tuatha Dé Danann, the shining ones.

Her journey walking as a medicine woman is deeply woven with her dán (destiny). Being a guardian of the water has guided her to offer the songs as part of ceremonies around the fire and in sweat lodges and retreats.

Using sound, Sionnáin supports us to come into deeper resonance and coherence as we clear the accumulation of grief that we have inherited from other generations. Connecting with the ancient wisdom of the caoineadh tradition of Éire and the wisdom of grief in all its colours is at the core of Sionnáins sound and strength.

At this years Hidden Hearth Sionnáin will be bringing you all on a deep ancestral journey into the landscape of song, into the waters of remembrance, into the belly of the mother to bring forth the wisdom that rests within you, to honour all that have come and gone and all those yet to come.

Through song and sound woven with the medicine of the Irish language & practice of yoga nidra she will guide you into a place of remembrance, in connection with the ancient ones, the Grandmothers and the Gods and Goddesses of the Aos Sídhe.
