Slí na Croí

Slí na Croí

Slí na Croí are an Irish-based ensemble delivering both stage sets and village fete style performances of traditional Malinké percussion and song from Upper Guinea, West Africa.

The group was founded by Barra Ó Flannaigh, who has journeyed to the heart of the music in Guinea on multiple occasions to immerse himself in the culture and rhythms of the Malinké people. An ancient and highly intricate art form, the primal energy and depth of Slí na Croí live shows bring a joyous celebration of life, dance and vitality.

"Slí na Croí are the masters of raw village style percussion and song.  Expect a high energy set and an impulse to shake your bones!"
