The GWP will be out in force to introduce the methodology and to guide you through the three waves:
Wave 1: With goggles and gloves we will improve visibility by removing brash from the thicket. (15 minute induction with 45 minute removal).
Wave 2: With silky saws, larger branches will be removed and divided into two streams: the brash will go into brash piles, the fire-loggable branches stacked for drying. (15 minute induction with 45 minute removal).
Wave 3: The biggest laurels will be brought down to earth with two-person powered chainsaws for stripping into brash and fire-loggable pieces. (15 minute induction with 45 minute removal).
The Gaelic Woodland Project has all the tools, training and insurance for this meitheal; however, it's paramount that all attendees appreciate the risk of injury. Close toed shoes or boots must be worn; belts are required to engage in wave 2. All attendees must sign-up prior to meitheal for insurance purposes and work with the GWP Project Officers and Meitheal Heads to ensure that we remove the laurel infestation and not a finger.
If you feel like embracing the mid October elements, we have camping available from Friday - Monday.

Buy Bus TicketWe intend for Hidden Hearth to be a festival for everyone to enjoy, thus are making it a priority to make it as accessible as possible to all.
Hidden Hearth has the following services to support our disabled festival goers:
If you would like to book one of the above services please email us on events@lisnavagh.com
Services for disabled people are managed by the Accessibility Lead who will be based in the Cad é an Craic Caravan. Please come and see them. The more that we know about services that you would like and any problems encountered around the site, the more we can help everyone to enjoy the festival.
The Accessibility Team do our best to help onsite, but we have found that the biggest factor in having a good time at a festival is the planning that you do yourself. If you need more specific advice please contact us and we will try to advise you.
